Townley Hall

The School has developed a centre at Townley Hall near Drogheda, County Louth.

Townley Hall was purchased in the 1980's by the School thanks to voluntary contributions and was made possible by the enormous generosity of the previous owners, the Mitchell Family.

Townley Hall is used as a place for students to attend study, group meetings and discussion, and meditation. It is also available for community events such as Plato Day, Cultural Day and many local events such as the Boyne Music Festival.

Short film on Townley Hall by Architectural historian, Robert O’Byrne

Architectural historian, Robert O’Byrne (a major contributor to the recently launched Townley Hall book was contacted and commissioned by the New York Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) to make a short film on an Irish country house. We were delighted that Robert nominated Townley Hall, and filming took place on May 12th. Robert also took the opportunity to promote the new Townley Hall book. The ICAA has global reach, and needless to say, this is a wonderful opportunity for Townley Hall to announce itself to the world.
