A Day With Plato - Plato & Myth

Platonic drama is mainly argumentative conversation but the Myth, where it occurs, is so striking that we are compelled to regard it as essential to Plato’s philosophical style (The Myths of Plato – John Alexander Steward). We can struggle with how to approach Myth in modern times, on this day with Plato we will examine the role of Myth and how it fits into Plato’s dialogues.
